The other road to Hāna . . a beautiful scenic route through Kāhikinui along the south eastern shoreline of the island of Maui Hawai'i on Pi'ilani Highway . . on a clear day you can see Big Island on the horizon . .

I wanted something different, something edgy, something unique and very special. And of all the images I took that day while exploring the island this one is my favourite. Pi'ilani Highway is also known as the back road to Hāna. This is a view of Manawainui from Pi'ilani Highway at Kāhikinui in early morning light when there was no traffic.
