Description
Actually the vintage weathered Tiki statue carving is as tall as I am and I am quite tall five feet eight . . so I cannot see this from eye level . . I didn't even know the coins were there until I held my camera high over the top of the tiki and took the shot then discovered the coins later at home when processing my images . . a fact that came as a complete surprise . . . Obviously there are many people taller than me in the world :))
I believe this ancient weathered tiki looks much more interesting in black and white with deep black tones . . . .
Tikis are spiritual figures who use their big, scary mouths and menacing expressions to frighten away evil spirits. Hawaiian tiki god statues have various headdresses, each with different meanings.
Tiki serve to mark the boundaries of sacred or significant sites.
