Description
Bratonia Miltassia Charles M Fitch 'Izumi'
AM/AOS which produces lovely flowers. Izumi is a member of the oncidium family and this orchid (Brs varrucosa x Milt spectabilis) blooms twice a year when mature. The flowers are so beautiful -- relatively large, somewhat spidery and simply stunning. The colours are a wonderful mottled lavender/pink/purple on the petals and sepals, with a bit of olive green in the background and the large lip is a stunning lavender with soft yellow spots in the center. Mature plants may have as many as 6 to 8 flowers per bloom spike and some mature specimens have 12 or more spikes.
